If you’ve considered quitting smoking, now is the perfect time as October is Stoptober!
Whether you want to improve your health, energy or start breathing easier now is the time to do it, its never too late to quit. The NHS Better Health website has a library of tips and tools to help you quite with Stoptober!
What happens when you quit?
- After 2-12 weeks blood will be pumping through your body and your circulation will improve
- After 3-9 months any coughs, wheezing or breathing difficulties will ease as your lung function will increase by 10%
- After 1 year your risk of a heart attack will have halved compared to a smokers
