Practice Update

Park Lane Practice was approached to support Phoenix Surgery following the ownership of the IMH partnership situation and unfortunately due to years of underinvestment the practice building was not safe to continue to use to provide safe service for the patients and the surgery premises needed a major refurbishment to fulfil infection control and health and safety guidelines for patient care and staff.

The Surgery relocated to Park Lane Practice week commencing 23rd March 20 due to extensive building refurbishment works throughout the surgery and unfortunately followed the COVID19 lockdown. The lockdown delayed the building works due to contractors being furloughed and contractors that were still working had to be managed to incorporate social distancing and reduced workforce, which meant a longer schedule than originally planned. During the refurbishment works a number of hidden problems with the building came to light which prolonged the end date.
Dr Ramzan and the staff are now pleased to inform all patients and stakeholders that the staff will be moving back to the surgery on Wednesday 2nd September 20. All appointments are made by telephoning the practice where you will be signposted by the reception team to the appropriate clinician. All appointments in the first instance are by telephone and the clinician will invite patients into a face to face appointment if they deem it to be necessary. This way of working is to keep staff and patients safe whilst the country is still in a pandemic situation.

The Surgery thanks all patients for their continued patience during the time that the building refurbishment period as we acknowledge this has caused some frustrations for some patients.

The Surgery would also like to assure you that the practices doors are not closed due to COVID and phone lines are open as normal working hours providing access of care to patients between 0800 – 1830 Monday to Friday as per normal local and national guidelines.

The Surgery also has new reception staff joining the team and we would ask for your support and patience whilst they integrate themselves into the team.
